Color Inspiration for “Afternoon, Revisited”

A flat lay photo of a white art folder with deep blue satin ribbon bow, deep blue and robin's egg blue ribbon, silver tailor's shears, transparent aqua and lavender sundae servers, crystal-cut, yellow pineapple container, violet, transparent pen, silver metal, cylinderical, pen holder, silver metal, rectangular case on a page of pen and ink doodles and character studies.

Color, wondrous color. I love transparent colors, but then, I also love the sheen of satin ribbon that rich, opaque color delivers. And oh, the metallics!

In this flat lay photo, you can see some of the colors swirling in my life right now and that have been reflected in my current work, “Afternoon, Revisited”.

Have you got a special shade of color in your life right now?
