“Year of the Rat” by artist Melani Grube featured in her Open Studio as part of Sac Open Studios (September 19, 2020, and September 20, 2020), and her interview with Verge Center for the Arts September 17, 2020. “Year of the Rat” is part of the Lunar New Year Astrology Series. The rat king promenades amongst his subjects who cheer and adore him. The community expresses tender and respectful feelings for this leader who inspires hope. The meek shall inherit the earth.
This painting has also been exhibited in the Roaring in the 20’s Exhibit (Mills Station Arts & Culture Center, Rancho Cordova, CA).
