Happy New Year: What Does A Year Look Like in Color?
Happy New Year!
Would you believe they make a way to look back at how you used color over the year?! That’s what the image above is showing: the colors I used in my posts to Instagram and Facebook in 2018 and how you reacted to those posts and colors.
You can do this, too, (for Instagram, at least) at yearofcolour.com
Thank you to Michelle Andres (an awesome abstract artist) who posted her beautiful color spectrum on Instagram and turned me on to this great site.
I took images from my BestNine (shown above) and set them on top of this palette to see what it looked like. Would the paintings really look good with the colors in the color spectrum?
Scroll down and see for yourself.
The painting “Woman in a Red Raspberry Beret”, set against the year’s color spectrum. See more about this painting in other blog posts here and the original painting here and and prints here.
The painting “Tea Time Moment” looks uncannily at home in this color spectrum, don’t you think? You can see more about the original painting here and the prints here.
The painting, “Wild Horses”, with the circles of color from throughout the year. See more about this painting in my blog here and the original painting here and the prints here.
The painting, “The Kiss”, set amongst the colors from my posts throughout the year. You can see more about this on my blog here and the original painting here and the prints here.
A detail from the painting, “Winter’s Icy Breath”, in a fog of color from my posts throughout the year. See the entire original painting here and prints here.
What do you think about these?
