A Sneak Peek of a New Version of a Famous Painting

Something special to share at my Open Studio Party and Solo Show at Pause Coffee House in September. (To see more about this, see below.)

Can you guess which famous painting this piece is based on? It’s okay, I’ve given you a deceptive detail from it. I had to choose an outlying part of the painting, because the main part would have been too easy a guess. This is the newest in my Masters Revisited series of paintings, where I go back to famous artists and paintings that I admire and render my own version of them.

In this version, I ended up placing the two people very differently than in the original that inspired it. But, as you will see, in the end, I think the subject matter still says the same thing!
