The painting “Skelly Pirates” shows a ship full of skeleton pirates sailing on the tumultuous sea, as a seagull skelly flies with the prize pendant from the treasure chest to return it to the skeleton mermaid in the waves below. The pirate captain swings with abandon on a rope to try to waylay the seagull.
The painting was displayed as part of Sac Open Studios 2020, put on by Verge Center for the Arts, Sacramento, California.
This painting has been exhibited in the Rancho Cordova Arts Inaugural Members Show (Mills Station Arts & Culture Center, Rancho Cordova, CA), the Return to Dreamland Open Studio Solo Show (Fair Oaks, CA) and the Art At Work Exhibit (Roseville Chamber of Commerce, Roseville, CA).
